St. Tropez

Despite upstarts like Ibiza, Mykonos and Hvar in Croatia, St. Tropez still epitomizes party chic, from dawn to dawn. Widely known as the playground for the rich and famous and for its unmatched party scene, St. Tropez is located along the western edge of the French Riviera on the Mediterranean Sea. Dubbed the “playground to jetsetters, models and millionaires”, St. Tropez is surrounded by endless white sandy beaches and a sunny climate. There is an active “see-and-be-seen” culture at its famous beach clubs along Pampelonne, a 3 mile stretch of sand. Some of the best restaurants in this part of France, especially seafood, nudge guests along until nightclubs like Les Caves du Roy in the Hotel Byblos and Bodega de Papagayo, open up after midnight and partying goes on until sunrise. Fresh local markets offer up olive oil, lavender, tapenade, goat cheese and crusty loaves of bread, while neighborhood festivals help you glimpse the culture of years past. On the whole, St. Tropez is hip, upscale and expensive, but nonetheless a fun area to kick back in and is welcoming to all, especially in your own A Season Away villa!
